JUST SAY NO! NO TO THE ADVERTS AND NO TO NAGGING KIDS, they get too much anyway all year around. Surely Birthday Presents are enough? If you give anyone anything over Xmas inc the kids give them money and request they give it to charities of their choice, I have explained this to my children and to my grand children and they all think it's a good idea. You will be suprised how sensible kids are and when they have it all explained to them they are fully in support. This year my Grand Children give their birthday money to Haiti Disaster fund and a Cat Charity, this is all about teaching responsibilty and what's right and what's wrong. Most definatly Western Consumerism has got way out of control, not only on the presents front but also on the food front, one and all are bombarded with adverts saying nought but stuff yourselves and get fat with fewer years left to go before death from Diabetes or an heart attack. So too late this campaign for 2010 but think on it through 2011, save your money for charities not Supermarket profits:
