No doubt due to Windmill subsidies on way out and the persistent radical campaigning of the Cambrian Mountain Society with some support from Embassy Glyndwr/Tarian Glyndwr campaigning. No wonder Leanne Plaid Cymru made little, if anything of their Green Print support for Renewables and Windmill Farm exploitation at the recent Spring Conference.

The developers, SSE Renewables, have announced a virtual suspension of the Nant y Moch wind farm project. In a letter to CMS Chairman Ann West, SSE’s Onshore Development Project Manager says :
“Following an internal project review, we have decided to delay the submission of the DCO application to the Planning Inspectorate as we are continuing discussions with key stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues.
“One of the factors that we have been taking into account is the investment climate for renewable energy in Wales and therefore it is likely that we will not be making any further significant investment in the project until the ambitions for the delivery of renewable energy in Wales is clearer.
“We will be continuing discussions with stakeholders in the meantime and monitoring progress of other energy infrastructure projects in Wales over the next year. We will submit our DCO application once we have clarity on the outstanding issues.”
The announcement was made on the developer's [SSE's] web-site - see below, especially the bits in bold - I also understand that SSE's local link officer's job has now been terminated.
Nant y Moch Wind Farm
Over the past few years, SSE Renewables has been conducting public and statutory consultations in relation to the Nant y Moch wind farm proposals. We have received a high level of response to these consultations to date and thank you for your participation.
In recent months we have made some additional changes to the final design of the proposed wind farm scheme at Nant y Moch and the deadline for commenting on these changes closed on the 28/07/12.
