Great day for transporting Turbines and police escort was ready to go, so wonder why it was cancelled? Maybe worried there was more of us about, hidden in bushes and might have pulled of a 'stunt' as a sit down Protest on the road in front of the Turbine Transport which of course could have gained the Windmaster the sort of bad publicity they could do without? Whatever? only five of us turned up which was raised to seven, the 'Magnificant Seven' by the afternoon ready for a possible 2:00pm T.T. run, but no show? So we will claim a victory as no Turbines passed but tomorrow that could all change and unless more protesters turn up to mount a protest at least, not much of a big show of number and 'Strength of feeling is it, but at least some 'Nashies' turned up but not a sign of any 'Nimbies'. Hopefully what we achieved today will encourage others to turn up over the days ahead and weeks there after, I and Sian will be on protest picket duty Wednesday but perhaps others can do Thursday and Russell with Pauline will keep watch on the situation re the Turbine Tower heading down the M4 on Friday. Whatever, obvious they can change plans so keep an eye on info links I provide in my blogs and keep sussing the web and listening to radion traffic reports.
Entrance is reached via Fabian way on the left side of the dual carriage way, coming down from the Amazon Roundabout and Briton Ferry Bridges.
Turn off and proceed down road in direction of the docks:
Continue down until you see Dock Gates, below see Police waiting to escort the Turbine Transport and Sian waiting to film the event.
Good Location for Protesters to gather.
Another good position for Protesters to gather and fences upon which to hang banners, placards and posters, lots of them continuously for eight weeks. This area is just a little further on from above photo.
Police held their position for a while.
Then abandoned their Vehicles.........
..............................and went for a walk up road.
............................to where we had placed some placards.
Police returned to Vechiles and we proceeded to place up more Banners, Placards and Posters.
Once we knew the Turbine Transportation was off, went up to Pontardawe to suss out best protest area and rally site (side of John Francis Estate Agent) for Sunday, see Picture below:

PS: Following Rally on Sunday the Plan is to go up to the Windmill site Entrance and cover greatly the fences there with Banners. Placards and posters. Loads to really make an impression not least on traffic passing by Monday morning on way to work or college and heading into the chaos of a 9:00am Turbine Transport!!!
Please Forward all this info above by all means possible, some more support at protest picket and on banner, placard and posters up would be appreciated. Don't leave it to the 'Magnificent Seven' for the coming eight weeks?
