Llysgenhadaeth Glyndwr i Gefnogi Ymgeisydd Plaid Cymru ar gyfer Ward Mawr, Abertawe yn Etholiad mis Mai. Embassy Glyndŵr Will Support The Plaid Cymru Candidate in The Mawr Ward in this May's County Council Elections.

We have now been informed by the Rhydaman office of Plaid Cymru that Plaid is putting up a candidate to fight the Mawr Ward of Abertawe in the forthcoming May election and we have been assured, again by the Rhydaman office, that their candidate for this Ward, Linda Frame, will be supporting the ward in its opposition to the planting of a gigantic windfarm on Mynydd y Gwair and will also oppose the M007 and MA008 Developments proposals. The MA007 proposal is for a development of Gelliwastad Common which, really, is illigal anyway - and apparently, there are hidden plans within this proposal to plant further wind turbines on Gelliwastad! The MA008 proposal is one for building a dozen or more houses on land owned by the current County Councillor for the Ward, Ioan Richards. The houses, if approved, will hardly be for local needs but will make Ioan Richards very wealthy!

Dr Myron Evans, a local Cymric speaker and patriot and the son of a local coal miner who was born and bred in Craig Cefn Parc, is vehemently against the despoilment and destruction of Cymru by wind turbines and has been very prominent in the campaign against such being planted on Mynydd y Gwair which is in the Mawr ward. He is equally vehement in regards to the MA007 and MA008 proposals, justifiably concerned that such developments will further endanger and weaken the Cymric language and culture of the area. For such reasons, he was prepared to stand against Ioan Richards if Plaid did not stand but now that we know that Linda Frame is standing for Plaid, Myron is happy to stand down as a candidate himself and will rally his wide spread support for Linda. Here is the latest statement recieved from Myron this morning. He's requesting that the Tory and Labourers candidate stand down also to avoid the vote being split:

"In the last Council election of 2008 for Mawr the Labour candidate obtained only 4.3% of the electoral register, the Tory only 3.7%. They are in favour of wind turbines so go against a 95% majority against wind turbines. I request them to follow my example and withdraw in favour of Linda Frame, Plaid Cymru, in order to present a unified opposition to Ioan Richard and not uselessly split the vote. I know from my own support that Ioan Richard is deeply unpopular. A petition against development recently obtained a thousand signatures in Craig Cefn Parc alone. This was organized by Mr and Mrs Wynford Cook. In the 2001 Census the total population of Mawr was 1,800. The turnout last time (2008) was only 48.64%. Ioan Richard calls himself "The People's Representative", but not any more. It is imperative to get him out this time because the petition indicates a large majority against him. This majority against must be mobilised into votes against."

Embassy Glyndŵr who is also, of course, active in campaigning against the destruction of our land by wind turbines, un-needed housing developments and the robbing and exploiting of Cymric resources, is eager to support any candidate in local elections that will stand on those issues and we were going to support and campaign for Myron initially, but now that Myron has pulled out, we will, also, join with him in rallying support and campaign on the ground for Linda. If you live in the Abertawe area and would like to do likewise, please, either get in touch with the Rhydaman Plaid office on 01269 597677 or just let me know on 01792 533806 or e-mail s.ifan@ntlworld.com and I will pass on your details to Linda. I'm sure that a campaign strategy meeting will be organised in the near future to fight for this seat.

In fact, Embassy Glyndŵr now calls on all patriots residing in the Abertawe area to rally around Linda to canvass to ensure that she wins this seat with an 'amazing' overall majority. Let's make every effort to get everyone that can vote in the Mawr Ward, to come out and vote for Linda, let's ensure that we get our message out with a thunderous clearness to the Westminster Government, The Welsh Assembly and all Capitalist Robber Barons such as the Duke of Somerset that we will no longer tolerate... further defacement and destruction of our beautiful landscape with the planting of monstrous and next to useless wind turbines in a futile quest to provide a meagre amount of electricity for England whilst the real ones to profit are the 'Windmill Masters' who will end up making billions in profit if allowed to continue.

Let's stand together as a nation united to illustrate loud and clearly that we will no longer tolerate the plundering and exploitation of Cymru or of our natural resources (such as water) in any shape or form and we will not stand by and allow politicians to collaborate in this wholesale exploitation, be they local or County Councillors, AM's, MP's or MEP's.

We believe that the 'rank and file' of Plaid Cymru to have joined that party because they want to see the above fulfilled so that they can see Cymru, not only surviving, but growing into being a strong and confident nation that has total control over its resources. They want to see Cymru as a nation that can confidently grow in prosperity because of this total control, and a nation that can use the benefits of its resources to provide all the people within its communities, and not the privileged few, with the necessary opportunities and training for decent jobs that will enable them to stay in their communities should they wish to do so.

We believe that the 'rank and file' of Plaid Cymru to have a strong affinity with the above aim, and that is why Plaid now must support their membership and the rest of Cymru in an united front to see through the fulfillment of that aim.

To do so, they must fight with us against the destruction of Cymru by Global Capitalist Developers and Windmill Masters. They must fight to demand our right as a nation to be in overall control of our resources. Elections, whether they be local or national, should be fought with these aims as a central focus and we at Embassy Glyndŵr will be encouraging Cymric Citizens throughout Cymru to support only candidates that have included these aims as an integral part of their election manifesto.

Linda Frame is able and willing to include  'Anti Wind Turbines and Anti Unnecessary Development' elements into her campaign so, other Plaid Cymru candidates throughout Cymru can include the same elements into their campaigning manifestos should they be so inclined to do so. We say, if they do, give them as much support as you can. If they don't, then they are not protecting Cymric interests and there will be a need for alternative Independent candidates to stand against them.

We will assist Linda to take the Mawr seat and if Plaid candidates now throughout Cymru really stand and fight on the same issues as Linda, we are confident that Plaid could win further seats and increase their membership numbers even further!

DEWCH I NI GYD FYND AMDANI!...LET'S SEIZE THE MOMENT!...LET'S PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS!

Further to the 1000 signed hard copy petition Myron refers to above, he has opened up a similar petition on line (click link) Please sign it wherever you are in Cymru or throughout the world...Let's make our views widely known.

Diolch.
